Innisfree on the Stillwater is the second-generation iteration of Innisfree Farm, run by Dennis and Keba Hitzeman. They took over the farm from Keba’s parents, William and Keneil Blaho, who purchased it in 1968.
Dennis comes into farming via a family history of agriculture but after a 20 year career in information technology and 15 years of military service. Dennis is also a lifelong writer and artist and a longtime technologist. He started working part time on the farm in 2007 and took over as the full-time manager in 2009.
Keba grew up on Innisfree Farm but pursued a career teaching high school Spanish and teaching Spanish as an adjunct at local colleges. She took over the farm in 2013 and now works there full-time as its owner.
Keneil bought the farm in 1968 along with her husband, William. They operated the farm full-time from 1968 to 1999 and part time from 1999 to 2009. She continues to support the farm by providing input from her long experience in agriculture.
